John Finau Jnr

Mr. Finau is a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of Solomon Islands with more than 16 years of legal practice. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and Politics as well as a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of the South Pacific (2008). His expertise lies in commercial law and litigation, particularly in areas of financing, foreign and domestic investment, and corporate advisory. He also brings extensive experience in customary land law, providing strategic counsel through consultation and negotiations with landowners—an essential element for investment and development projects in the Solomon Islands. Mr. Finau has advised and represented a wide range of clients, including international financial institutions, government agencies, NGOs, and religious and charitable organizations, with a proven track record in delivering practical, results‑focused legal solutions.

Mr. Sanga holds an LLB from the University of the South Pacific (2009) and brings a wealth of experience from high-level public service and international diplomacy. He has served as Chief of Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and External Trade, and as Consul-General of the Solomon Islands to Australia, where he built strong networks and fostered strategic relationships. In addition, his hands-on experience as Welfare Director for an Approved Employer under the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) Scheme demonstrates his commitment to people-focused solutions and practical outcomes. Mr. Sanga combines professional expertise with proven leadership, offering clients reliable guidance backed by regional and international insight.
